Multiple-Choice Mayhem won Best of Show Non-Vendor at The eLearning Guild’s Learning Solutions Conference March 2019. I share this award with Sean Hickey, co-creater of MCM.
The instructional problem was that many career-technical educators are not formally trained in assessment. While OSU’s Center on Education and Training For Employment creates instructional documents such as an assessment best practice guide, many educators needed additional support. One day, I had the idea to present the best practices in a poorly written exam. I struggled with the content area to write a test on and one evening when I came home, I saw a re-run of Ripley’s Believe it or Not and that is how MCM was born. Add in Sean’s cheesy voice over, an old-school television, and over the top music you have a learning experience that provides you guidelines for creating measurable assessments. MCM was built in Articulate Storyline 2. Select the TV to play Mulitple-Choice Mayhem!
